Diary of an Estate Agent - Mummy - Week 1

So this week has been a mish/mash of work, kids, housework and snow!!! Snow wow, not seen anything like this for a while, and this is proper snow, not just your light, lie on the ground for a couple of hours until the rain comes and turns it into slush.

Thoughts of the kids and I, having fun sledging and building a snowman was quickly put to bed when said 6yr old refused to get dressed and well I remembered, I seize up in the cold due to bad circulation. Oh well the teenager is heading out so at least one of us will enjoy it.

It’s been an interesting week work wise, also feel like this week has been like no-man’s land with the kids not being back at school, need to get some kind of routine back for both them and me. Starting a new business from scratch you have to get creative of where the next lead is coming from, I no longer can rely on a corporate machine feeding me leads or hope that Rightmove & Zoopla throw me a bone, this is all on me and it’s down to me to make it happen. First things first though I want to get the properties I have on the market SOLD, all two of them! Boards breed boards and a sold sticker on them just helps.

Had a wobble on Tuesday, allowed the fear to get in my head and question whether I had done the right thing, when you are used to being constantly on the go with work, it’s easy to let thoughts get in your head. Had a word with myself and made sure I kept pro-active on Wednesday. I have found setting myself work tasks each day to complete helps.

It also didn’t help when Nic shut us down again and put us into another lockdown. Here we go again, to drink or not to drink, hmm??

Highlights of this week – Remembering my love of games consoles, 6yr old got his first Xbox for Xmas so we have spent hours playing it, our favourite so far Star Wars Battlefront, great fun being a storm trooper and shooting the rebel alliance. Not sure what it says about my son and I that we both enjoy playing the bad guy and having Darth Vadar as our boss.

Ending the week on a high with agreeing sales on both of my properties, only problem now is no stock, aarrrrggghh!!!

Next week – Homeschooling!!
